Bits of information for using the MUSC Shared Resource,
the BioMolecular Computing Resource (BCR).

Exon_29 Accees to the relational databases at NCBI via ENTREZ at MUSC.
The ENTREZ programs are NCBI's major effort to create a relational
database structure where protein, nucleic acid sequence databases
are linked with structural and genomic databases and with the PubMed 
literature. Aseries of viewer programs are embedded in the ENTREZ
package.

The ENTREZ program comes in WINDOWS, MAC, UNIX, and HTML forms.

The Windows and MAC standalone programs must be added to your
PC. They may be downloaded from ftp://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. When configuring
please remember to click the "outgoing only" box.

The UNIX ENTREZ may be started by typing "Nentrez6 &" at the UNIX command line
prompt.
