Exon_50 Running the file interconversion program Babel at MUSC.

Babel is a file conversion program. It accepts a number of file input
formats and writes to a number of file soutput formats as well. At MUSC
the program was compiled on a multiprocessor platform and therefore can
ONLY be run from erg2.musc.edu or janus.musc.edu. Attempting to run Babel
on BCR machines which are are NOT multi-cpu machines such as bcr,
photon and quark will result in "Program not supported by architecture"
errors. Users who wish to use Babel will have to modify their .cshrc file
to add the following two lines:

setenv BABEL_DIR /usr/common/bcr/Babel/babel-1.6
set path = ($path $BABEL_DIR)

After adding the lines. Logout and login again. At that point typing
"babel" will launch the program.
