Exon_54 ESPript version 1.6 at MUSC.

ESPript is a program which read multiple sequence alignments
from GCG Pileup or CLUSTALW. The program can then "overlay"
information regarding secondary structure assignments (and other information)
from the PHD server and produce colored PostScript output
suitable for publication. ESPript does NOT create an alignment.
You must provide the alignment to the program AND the ancillary
element such as secondary structure.

Execution is easy in one sense. Just type "ESPript". However, the program
is best run via commands prepared beforehand in an input file. Here's
an example of the input file.
 ESPinput.
These input files CAN be rather detailed. Check the manual to review
the possibilities.

Launching ESPript using an input file would then look like this:

ESPript '<' ESPinput '>'FancyOutput.ps

Translated this line reads from the input file named "ESPinput" and writes
output to "FancyOutput.ps"

There is also a WEB-based version of ESPript which I may install later.
