Exon_60 Puzzle at MUSC.
Puzzle was written by Korbinian Strimmer and Arndt von Haeseler. The current
MUSC version is 4.02 April 1999.
Puzzle reconstructs phylogenetic trees from molecular sequeunce data
(alignments) by maximum likelihood.
Puzzle has a plain text user interface ( ie no fancy GUI).
The Puzzle interface is designed to look similar to that of the PHYLIP programs.
Puzzle can read PHYLIP format files from the generic file "infile".
Users at MUSC simply copy a PHYLIP format input file into a file called
"infile" and type
puzzle
to execute the program.
