version 0.9.7 May 2000 Copyright © 1995-2000 Christopher M. Bruns Ph.D., All rights reserved "SEQUOIA is a computer program for the alignment of homologous protein sequences, and for the superpostion of homologous protein atomic coordinates." The first thing you do is consult the on-line manual. Sequoia may be run from command line or run from scripts. There is no GUI for Sequoia. Your best bet is to read the MANUAL FIRST!!!!. The latest version of this document is available at http://www.scripps.edu/~bruns/sequoia.html Sequoia reads fasta format file sequence files and PDB format structure files You should be able to type sequoia and the program will launch giving you a sequoia command line like this sequoia> At which point you need to enter commands like READ, ALIGN etc. (see manual fo a tutorial. Good Luck!
