Exons: Relevant bits of information for using the MUSC Shared Resource, the BioMolecular Computing Resource (BCR).Exon_73 Vector NTI Suite of Programs at MUSC.
Vector NTI Advanced Suite has five main component modules and runs from a Dynamic License Server. There are at present 4 licenses for VNTI and 18 "seats" administered by the MUSC DLS(late June 2001). This means that no more than 4 simultaneous users can run the component programs but that 18 "users" can try to run. VNTI's modules are: -Vector NTI vector and primer design, with superb graphics -BioAnnotator Sequence feature determination and plotting -Contig_Express Contig Assembly -AlignX Multiple Alignment with graphics. -GenomeBench MUSC does have a license for this module (Fall 2003). The progams themselves are downloaded, installed on either a PC or a MAC and run in DEMO mode. Full functionality can be purchased. Users have the right to buy a seat or a complete license. The seat option means they have a functional program but will compete for the licenses. The seat option is economical. Purchasing full licenses is pricey. Vector NTI Advanced Suite
We have a single license for ExpressionNTI for analysis of microarray data.
